Overview

R-Tech respects your privacy. This policy explains how Clipped handles information.

Camera and Photos

Clipped uses your device camera and, when you choose, images from your photo library to create Clips. The app requests access only when it is needed for these features. Completed images are saved to your photo library only when you choose to save them.

Data Collection

Clipped performs its core photo workflow and image processing on your device. Photos, camera images, Clips, and segmentation results are not uploaded to R-Tech or to Google by the ML Kit segmentation feature.

Clipped uses Google ML Kit for on-device subject segmentation. Google states that the ML Kit SDK may collect limited technical information, including device and app information, device or installation identifiers, performance metrics, feature-use events, and error codes. Google uses this information for diagnostics and usage analytics, encrypts it in transit, and states that it is not shared with third parties.

R-Tech does not use Clipped to sell personal information, serve advertisements, or perform advertising tracking. Clipped does not require or provide user accounts.

Sharing

Clipped lets you choose to share a finished image using Android's system sharing tools. The destination app or service you select handles that image under its own privacy policy. R-Tech does not receive a copy through this process.

Data Retention and Deletion

R-Tech does not maintain user accounts or store your photos, Clips, or other personal content on its servers. Images saved by Clipped remain under your control on your device and can be deleted using your device's photo or file-management tools. Technical metrics collected by Google ML Kit are handled by Google under its applicable privacy and retention practices.

Children

Clipped is intended for users age 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the app changes. The latest version will always be posted on this page.
